Planning to go to Susquehanna Sunday for the 410 show on Sunday.. Any chance any of the All Stars hang around for that show? Will the 358's get anywhere close to a full field?

I don't know of any confirmed but I'd think its q definite possibility. Tim Shaffer ran one of the Susky shows last season (can't remember which one) and ran 3rd. To me, it would seem like a no brained for those guys to run since they're already in the area. As far as 358's, I'd expect somewhere around 20. Should be an awesome show. Susky is one of my top 3 favorite tracks.

The only good thing about being rained out last Sunday is now I have a rain check to use for this Sunday :bdf:

IDK why susky wouldn't just book an all-star race on this date since they are already in the area. Then they'd all be there. If they can do USAC, why can't they do ASCOC? It would be a great field for sure, and draw more cars and more fans. I remember when Selinsgrove used to host the all-stars on Sunday nights when they were on their eastern swings. I miss those shows. I'd love to see someone step up and give them a Sunday night on these trips to make it more worthwhile. Diesel isn't cheap. JMO

You got that right. That place needs a major overhaul. If it were fixed up like they are doing at Port, it would be the best track around. The racing there is very good. When they used to run every Sunday night years ago, that was the best racing of the weekend.

Maybe he can't get the approval of Kathy Hughes to have a ASCoC race at Susky??

Or maybe he can't afford to pay the fees to Kathy Hughes to have an ASCoC race at Susky??

I totally agree. The bleachers need some work but otherwise I love it just the way it is. To me, Port Royal has never been the same since getting the new bleachers. That old covered grandstand and the cement bleachers had a certain charm that can never be replaced. Unfortunately, it needed to happen but I would give anything to go back in time and watch one more race from our seats on the top row of the cement bleachers. At Susky, you pretty much take a step back in time every time you walk in because its basically been unchanged for decades.

My son and I always make sure we sit on a support post. Too much flex in the middle of those 2x12's.

New seats and port-o-potties in T4 and it would be perfect.

I think it is the best racing track around, perfect size with wide turns for passing. Often see 3 abreast racing.

In the 90's when the modifieds raced there, wasn't their saying "Four abreast is the best"? Or something like that?

I haven't been out there in years but always really liked the racing.

The port is considered fair grounds and gets state monies for improvements. Susky doesn't qualify.

I can deal with the grandstands/bathrooms etc. as long as the racing is good. I'll be there Sunday.

To me it's a poorly maintained version of Attica and if you haven't been to Attica well…don't go because if you do, you will never want to come back to Pennsylvania.
