‘Super’ Alan Krimes will return to the central Pennsylvania racing scene this Friday and Saturday as a point leader at one facility, and a championship point contender at another. Krimes, who pilots the Midnite Antiques, Conestoga Valley Garage, Wayne Corini, Krimes Racing Engines, VRP Shocks, no. 87 ‘410’ sprinter, will continue his dual-championship quest this Friday and Saturday, June 20th & 21st at the Williams Grove Speedway and Lincoln Speedway; kicking-off with a ‘regular’ program at ’The Grove’ on Friday night.
Alan Krimes will enter the Williams Grove Speedway gates on Friday night solidly inside the top-five of the current ‘410’ track championship standings. The former Mitch Smith Memorial winner at the world-famous Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania oval sits fifth (5th) officially in the standings with 1550 earned points; Don Kreitz, Jr. leads the way with 1880 points. This Friday night will also act as one last ‘Grove’ test session before ‘Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek’ action kicks-off next Friday evening, June 27th at the Williams Grove Speedway. A win this Friday night would not only secure positive momentum just in time for speedweek, but it would also boost Alan Krimes’ search for a ‘Grove’ championship. Krimes has not yet earned a victory at Williams Grove Speedway in 2014.
The ‘Super 87’ team will make their way back to the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania on Saturday evening, June 21st for ‘BAPS Night.’ Alan Krimes is the current track championship point leader at the Pigeon Hills venue; on the strength of two (2) victories, four (4) top-five finishes and six (6) top-ten finishes. The Denver, Pennsylvania native has a 165 point lead in the standings entering this Saturday’s ‘regular’ program. Jim Siegel, Danny Dietrich, Cory Haas and Gerard McIntyre, Jr. round out the top-five in the current Lincoln standings. Alan Krimes’ most recent start at the Lincoln Speedway resulted in an eleventh (11th) place finish last Saturday night, June 14th during a UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions program.
‘Super’ Alan Krimes will enter the upcoming weekend third (3rd) in the current SPEEDWAY MOTORS/CHAMPION RACING OIL PA SPRINT CAR SERIES Presented by Hoseheads.com point standings with 298 points; on the strength of two (2) Central Pennsylvania victories.
