Mr. Excitement 197 career wins

Watching kauffman pulling wheel stands off 4 all night was worth the price of admission. I hope someone got some pictures of that.

The blue hamilton 77 is one of the best looking cars ive ever seen.

Great night all around with a pretty good 358 race and great track conditions. Thanks to all the legends and hats off the fred and his team. :cheers2:

Could not make this show, but did enjoy it on Dirt-Station sure glad they did that for people who could not make it. Congrats Double D!!. I do think some of the old timers could still win in the modern day sprints not mentioning no ones name but that guy in the red 88 sure looked good!!

Thank you to all the legends who were there for putting on a show that will forever be etched in my memory, thank you to Fred and his crew for making the dream come true, and thank you to Mr. Excitement for giving us fans one more time to cheer like crazy. No doubt in my mind that at least half of those guys still have a ton of drive left to win.
No doubt about it. The last time I got that excited at a race track was the last time Todd won a race. Mr. Excitement....what more can be said? The man brought us to our feet once again. Todd and Kenny Adams proved that they can without a doubt, still get it done. Keith, Jacobs and Eash looked pretty racey too. I've been a Shaffer fan my whole life so obviously I was happy to see him but I grew up idolizing all of those guys and it was so cool to see them racing and to hear all of the interviews and stuff. Doug Wolfgang and Paxton picking on one another was priceless. There's still a smile on my face that can't be wiped off. What an amazing night. Without question, my favorite night I've ever spent at a race track.
Dunno about you or anybody else but I'm counting that win as number 197 for him. Now if we can just figure out how to get him in the seat a few more times he may be able to hit that 200 mark yet.
That's 197 in my book. Shaffer is my favorite of all time but I'd count it regardless of who won.
Way she goes.............

If you do watch a replay, turn down your volume everytime the announcer (Steve Post I think) speaks. his constant yelling
was the only negative of a pretty good broadcast. You'll love the vintage footage that was shown during the down time. They should have left Wayne Harper do all of the announcing.

When the race is on, who can hear the announcer anyway? And in between races, how many people are actually paying any attention to the announcers anyway?

In short, I can tolerate almost any announcer, though I might make an exception if some track decides to hire Gilbert Gottfried to announce.
Q: How is Central PA different from the Old West?
A: In Central PA, the Outlaws try to catch The Posse!

I don't know what it sounded like at the track but watching it on PPV was almost unbearable. His constant shouting made the broadcast almost unbearable. Everytime Steve Post spoke I had to turn the volume down on the TV.
