As far as late nights, ALL TRACKS have those nights where drivers can't stay out of trouble. (ALL TRACKS) Saying one track is worse than the other is ridiculous. Been there done that more times than I can count. Track conditions, no different! Sometimes tracks nail it and have good tracks and other times they miss it. Deal with it or stay home. It's been that way forever.
This is the place where brilliant minds assemble to willfully pool ignorance with questionable logic in order to reach absurd conclusions.

The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all.
Gilbert K. Chesterton

Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on, or by imbeciles who really mean it.

I dont see why anyone wants to rush home anyhow. Unless you have to work (id quit), or have something important to do the next day. Its the weekend. Time to relax and enjoy yourself, not worry about what a clock says.

Only a guy with no little kids or wife to go home to could feel that way. Oh wait your kids are grown and you have no wife. That explains it all.

Most people can't just quit their jobs to go to the races and I think you know that. I'm a die hard with no kids so like I said, I don't personally care if it runs a little late but we all know there aren't enough of us die hards to pay the bills and that's (unfortunately) a fact. For these big shows to be successful and even to some extent the weekly programs, we need to attract the casual fans. Sprint car racing is a sport that appeals to many different people. There are pastors, lawyers, doctors, of course blue collar workers and so many other people from various walks of life who attend races. Some people go to church on Sunday mornings, I don't but many do. Some people have work or other various things they need or want to do. Not everyone's life revolves around sprint car racing. The fact is, many people who aren't die hards like us enjoy racing but don't enjoy getting home at 1:30 in the morning. Late nights are going to happen sometimes due to circumstances beyond anyone's control but all I'm saying is, I've noticed that Port has had a lot of late nights due to nothing other than holding the program up for some of the promotions and other things where they could've done a lot better at keeping the show moving efficiently. It's best for all involved if they try their best to keep the show moving. If it gets done by 10:30, you can still go party in the parking lot and hang out at your camper all night and the people who have work in the morning or church or whatever it is that they need or want to do, get home and in bed at a decent hour. Like I said, Port is doing a tremendous job over all with everything other than keeping the show moving. That's the one thing I think they can consistently do better than they have and I'm sure they're working on it because they've been 2nd to none lately when it comes to improvements.
Way she goes.............

In order to quit other people's job, you'd have to actually have the skill set to land that job first...just sayin.
