weather.com is now showing 25% of rain starting @6 and higher as the evening goes on. Is there a rain date?

For those that can't read a forecast... maybe radar will help.

Now for those who can't read a forecast or radar now that the races are over and I am home I will explain this to you. That rain that was in the western part of the state late this morning was not headed east but northeast, when this happens it usually skirts up along the western side of the mountains. I have watched this many times when I wanted to come here but knew it would probably not come here. Any rain at that point that was likely to get here was in West Virginia at that time and several more hours away. Those who thought the sky was falling missed the races.

Not too many people missed it, that place was PACKED...bigger crowd and more cars than last year. :cheers2: There were a few drops and some mist in the lights before the feature. Dark clouds over the track the whole time. We got lucky!

It was some great sprint and modified racing at Port Royal. That was my second visit to the track and my first in over a year. What a spectacular facility with a great staff and even a nice drive to get there! I hope everyone enjoyed the modifieds as well (if you stayed to watch them, I was there almost an hour and a half after the sprints ended and there was still a traffic jam leaving the parking lot!).

Thanks,
Jeff.
