I didn't realize these Old Open Wheel Magazines are worth good money. I was just offered 75 bucks to pull the auction off- for the issue of Volume 1 issue 2. I think I need to find issue 1.

You have to remember that eBay appeals to a lot of people who have no idea of the true value of something and get involved in bidding wars they cannot bring themselves to drop out of. An example of that that I am familiar with is Millett sights for Smith & Wesson revolvers that haven't been made for a few years. I recently watched one sell on eBay for $312.50 plus $20 shipping when the item's photo clearly showed a $39.95 price tag on its box. And here's the best part - another identical sight was on eBay at the same time and I bought it for $56.65 plus $5 shipping. Obviously, the people bidding on the first sight had failed to search for all the other such sights for sale.

Yes, your magazines are valuable in relation to their original price. How much more is up to the market to determine but common sense has to be applied to the emotions involved in trying to buy such things. Would I like to have several more Millett sights? Sure but there is a limit to what I will pay for one. I can't imagine a Millett sight being worth $332.50 even 15 years from now.

By the way, a person gave me 20 or so copies of old Open Wheel Magazine issues last winter. I read them (again) and then gave them to someone else.

Not sure what #1 goes for now,but at one time they were bringing 100-150 bucks...I have a mint copy somewhere in my stuff, along with all the other early issues.

I also have several copies of Circle Track #1.
