As seen at the EMMR 3-31-12. I believe there was some discussion of this car on here before.

Great series of photos on a pretty cool and innovative car. Interesting that Adrian Newey of Red Bull (Vettel’s) team was playing with redirecting the exhaust out of the car last year in F1 and Weld was doing this on his sprinter back in 1988.

I remember the night Kenny showed up at the Groove with this car!

Pretty sure he won a heat race at Hagerstown in this car.

Like GoShow said...the steering is realy unique.

What caught my eye was the simple innovative way of moving the wing with the hand crank. The workmanship is flawless. What a mind!

:cheers2:

Jack Hedstrom sent me this photo of a T-shirt of the car that Kenny Weld personally sent to Jack.

So what was the reason for taking the left exhaust forward?

Looks like really small brakes up front as well, including the left front.

... Kenny would have refined and/or abandoned innovative parts till it worked ... everything else he ever touch did/worked :yessss:

... WOO would have outlawed "innovative" if it was to win often
