Stanley Spring Works car. The 111 was always fast. This one looks to be pre silver car, 1080 probably knows but I would guess maybe 1962 or 63

This is his 1965 car. In 1964 Mitch drove a white No. 111. He started the 1965 season in the sharp-looking red No. 111. He wiped that car out and then brought out this car. Steve Bubb

The 1965 red car was flipped down the back stretch hard between the bridge and the old bathroom in the infield. I remember the white 111 in 1964.....I can't argue with Steve about this car being brought out after the red car crashed. They were almost identical cars except color. Mitch drove the Rabold # 2 at the Springs in 1963 I think....without cheating and looking at yearbooks. I do not remember Mitch racing much at the Grove until he started driving the 111 in 1964. My memory is only from 1961 - on.............

1080 is quite correct, Mitch had a white No. 111 in 1964. It was plain white and had red numbers. It had Weidler Welding on the hood. The car in 1965 was white and had a blue graphic behind the numbers. That is the best way to tell them apart.

Good thing 1080 is on here because he helps to fill in the gaps. I do not remember Mitch's crash with the red No. 111 but I have a photo of the remains of the car. That car was a mess. Steve Bubb

So the blueish/Silver car with white numbers was 1966. :dontknow: I know Mitch drove that car also at least for a while.

The 111 (Rhubarb colored) above is from 1965 and is the car he flipped down the backstretch. He also beat Tilley that year (2 weeks in a row?) in this car. Mitch drove the Flack Tiger 2's and the Flack red/white/blue number 1 in 1966.

Mitch was in Regesters cars in 1967-68....

One of these cars may have become the Don Kolar #8....or they were all built the same! I know they came from the same neighborhood.... :cheers2:
