Not exactly sure what you mean Ed. If you are talking about National Open wins they came later in the Sprint car. I remember him winning a lot in Ree's car at Susky and some at Lincoln. This was around the time he and Bobby Gerhart running the carbureted 5 wrenched by Davey Brown had some torrid battles. Ree Smith is Mark Smith's dad, I believe Ree also wrenched one of the Emerich cars for Paxton. The Kenny Weld creation with the narrowed tail before they switched to sprints.
Buildy has some good shots of the restored Emerich car from the museum.

Fine Photos of a great driver and car. I didn't know Mark Smith's dad was Ree, that's cool. Is he still around? Didn't Lynn run the Emerich car with a Carb for a while, I think I remember him with one. I am very glad someone has went to all the trouble to restore this fine racer.

Paxton himself restored the Emrich car and just recently finished the Trevis Emrich sprint car

In 1965 Lynn had two wins in a row, just wondered if the photo posted was the first or second win. There is a photo at the museum of one of the wins and the car is much cleaner.
