I beleive this is the Tobias chassis built for Johnny Grum. This car came out in June of 1965 in primer with the numbers taped on. Johnny hit the fence the first night out and the car had to go back to Tobias for a new front clip. The owner was Joe Horner.

The 46 in the top photo was driven in 1965 by Johnny Grum. The blue car in the background is not the Fletcher 66. The Fletcher car # 66 with Johnny Grum driving came out in 1966. Thye number 46 in this photo is powered by a 427 Ford.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Bob

Sure looks like it reads Johnny Grum lettered on the roof of blue car in the background. I've seen pictures of Harry's mostly blue car when Johnny drove for him.

Thanks for correcting me on the mistake on the Fletcher 66 in the background. I have a good memory but sometimes it's wrong.
