What would later be called Sprint cars square off at "New Ascot" in 1924.

Note,this is not the same location as the last Ascot,which was in Gardena.

There were 3 or more Ascots in So-cal over the years. There were also Board tracks at Beverly Hills and Culver City(Near Hollywood) in the 1920s.

Probably didn`t have good french fries either and everyone was bitching about the tire rule :laughing7: I don`t think the lady with the Golf cart was around yet,though.


Does look like they had a Beer Hill going on,though :thumbright:

That picture is simply amazing. As for the natural grandstands, it looks like they built a dirt track in the Scottish Highlands.
