The first shot is at S-grove. The 2nd shot is at the Grove and also has Bobbie Adamson in it.

My dad had his favorites and I had mine, but Frank was " our " favorite. Still remember him from Mercer and very early Lernerville.

It a great time for me as a young kid in central Pa going to the races, watching the "bugs" run. Then Jack Gunn let the sprint cars with the plywood wings race.It was great to see "the Pittsburg gang" (as my dad called them) show up and race in central Pa. I could not wait till the weekend came,to see what new driver was at the races.

Old Racer, you are so right. It was a treat to watch the "Pittsburg Gang" come in each week to do battle with our local hero's. Frank, Gus Linder, Ralph Quarterson, Jim Kekeich, Jim Mcgill, Lou Blaney, J.D Leas all did pretty well for themselves.

I was wondering if the photos were taken in 1969?Just before he was killed at Hagerstown?

This pic is from '69. Ironically, Bobbie Adamson, along with Lynn Paxton, pulled Gorichky from his burning car at Hagerstown.

I think I shot the first photo in 1967-1968. The 2nd photo I'm not sure of the year. It was a big shock to me as a young kid. That is why in I did not post about it in my first post . God speed Frank
