Ingersoll Rand and a Trevis chassis

Post by rrc » Wed Feb 06, 2013 5:30 pm

Does anyone know someone who lived by an Ingersoll Rand factory and had a 70's Trevis chassis of the big block design with a removeable bolt on cage? It was picked up YEARS ago by a party from Illinois. Had some white body work with it and has some front end frame damage.

WOW, Ron, that's a tough one! A big block car with removable cage. First name that comes to mind is Gerry Danecker, raced mostly U.R.C. but in late '70s- early '80s ran a good bit in Central Pa. IIRC, he had a big block, and the cage reminded me of a Trevis design.

Saw a picture of # 98 with Brian Seidel and it had the same type drop top rail as your chassis.

Heres a link to a photo on facebook that shows Danecker's #29 in the pits at a URC show at OCF. This is the car I was thinking of.

I see the master cyl. on mine was mounted on the left frame rail under the seat area. Never saw one mounted in this position...
