I shot this at the Port. I'm not sure of the year. I Think Toby was the driver.

The year was 1966. I just completed a model of this car. I wish I would of had this picture for reference.

I added another picture of the car with Toby standing at the rear of the car.

Great looking car, and the thing that always struck me about Toby: He always looked like he was in his 40s,he was in his 20s in this picture!

Wow nice work on the model and again thanks for the picture. Last I know this car was sitting at Ron Ruth's waiting to be restored. Didn't this car become the #1 Swarmer won the Port championship with.

This car is restored and the last time I saw it , it was in Mexico, a few miles from Port Royal.

The #57 car in the backround is Graham Taylor.

I could be wrong , but I think Swarmer drove it also. I'm going to have to check into this again.

This car was built for the 1966 season for Tobias. It won 3 features that year and then Toby refused to drive it because it was uncontrollable because of the big block's horsepower. Regester then built a smaller super modified with a 350 small block for Mitch Smith.

Tilley drove for Regester in 1964 winning 12 races at Port Royal. Regester sat out 1965.

I'm "guessing" that Swarmer bought the old Regester car at some time and ran it as the #1 starting in 1967. He won the Port track championship in 1966 driving the Russel #10.
