The 45 above was the old Elmer Drum car. This photo is the same Elmer Drum car.

Bob....got any pics from 1957... :bdf:

I sure would like to see a picture of Duke Negley in the #14....

It was an Ehrenzeller car that I think was kept with the S and S 22 car in Thompsontown (current Regester dealership???).....white over dark blue I believe.

1080,

I only have two photo's of the #14 and I don't thing these are the ones you are looking for. The older #14 is 59 or 60 and the newer car, with the door cut down, may be the following year. The second car is Don Kimberling.

The older 14 looks like the 1958 car that Crawford may have driven....baby blue like the S and S 22...

These pictures are very cool!

I'll have to try to find someone who knows the Ehrenzellers....they probably have pictures....they were at the one Penn Central Reunion about 2 or 3 years ago.

Anyone know how the pedals were layed out in the #1? Looked in that car a hundred times as a dumb kid but I just don't remember. Looks like the Master cyl. on the right side which would put both pedals on the right, but it looks like the throttle goes through to the left of the master cyl which would put the pedals backward unless there was a cross bar to actuate the brake master cyl. :dontknow:

The 14 and 22 picture is 1958 I believe. Crawford was driving the 14 from what I can find out.
Dubie drove the 22 car in 1957..

I should have ask these questions 20 years ago when these guys were still around!

I am just chasing Duke's racing career some and 1957 and 58(?) is somewhat blank as far as pictures at Port. The Port Royal Book from 1957 - on has several mentions of him in 1957. I have pictures of him in the McCoy 83 in 1957 at Walnutdale Speedway and also some stats from him at the Grove that year. The McCoy car was a flathead and they (Penn Central) were running overheads at Port. He was in the dark blue 14 I believe at Port.

There is no indication of him driving at Port in 1958....but he told me many stories about 1958 action....especially the Swarmer and Hoose crashs. He was spot on with his stories which led me to believe he was there.

Search continues....

WOW!! What great old photos, they sure bring back the memories. That #46, Pee Wee's car looks super. That's one fine looking racer. Pee Wee always had nice looking cars, even the trailer is looking good with those moon hub caps and white walls. :thumbleft: :thumbright:

Fantastic photos an A+. Does anyone have photos of Nolan Swift's invasion of Port. Another is George Eakin that same year. Swift came down from Syracuse and Eakin towed in from Franklin. Eakin is my grandfather's cousin. I do have one photo of Eakin but would like to find several more. Thanks - Steve
