Number 7 was Cecil Keister from Elmira NY. The #41 was Don Kimberling's car but was driven at Port Royal by Clayton Husted. Of course the #83's were Roger Sowers. The #19 was Al Fisher. I believe Al was from Milton. The #5 was Dad (Pete Swarmer). My memory has failed me on the #0 and 45.

46 is Pee Wee Pobletts....

The bottom car where you see no number...is that Buck Buchanons car?

Of course the 1's are Mackison, however we still can't figure out who may have drove the X1 when John drove the newer number 1. It has been told on here a few times...the X1 later was reskinned and became the 1E of Wales and the 80 of Bob Foor.

The bottom 83 was a weird car. McCoy wasn't afraid to experiment. Beating the Emrich car was the ultimate goal..... :wellwaiting:

GREAT stuff 60's fan!

Fantastic. :yessss: I had high hopes we would see a driver standing next to the x1. The only person I haven't asked is Davey Brown, I need to corner him some night and see if his memory will tell us. Baffles me. :dontknow: I would have made a guess at Abel because I know he drove the car at Susky one night, but the pic 1080 has Abel is in that heat in the 2. Ken Johnson dig up some facts for us. :thumbleft:

Strocker McGurk is correct on his statements made above. The 7 car is Cecil Keister. Clayton Husted was the driver of the Kimberling 41, but I also question the driver in this photo. The driver in this photo is a big man and may be Don Kimberling, Clayton was not that big.

Al Fisher was from Dewart, not far from Milton.

The 45 car was from Strodes Mills, Pa. and was owned by John A. Stimely. Different drivers was in it over the years and I am not sure which year this picture was taken. Joe Lingle, Larry Wilson , Rosell Dolin, Merv (Bucky) Buchanna, Harry Ulsh and Johnny Dubendorf was some of his drivers. The trailer was owned by Henry Browse of Brose's Excavating also from Strodes Mills. John A. was a very big Ford man.

Also, on the 45 car, I am pretty sure this car was a former number 80 car of Elmer Drum.
