Post by 60s Fan » Mon Mar 18, 2013 9:09 am

I have been posting photo's from the 60s and now have some from the late 50s to share with you. Let's try to name the drivers and owners on these, I may be able to help with some of these.

Picture #13 The tractor & trailer was used by Yetters Chevorlet out of Beavertown, Pa. to bring 2 cars to the Port. a #2 & a #3 . The # 2 could of been Eddie McCardle & I think the #3 was Al Chamberlin??!!

Depends on the year, the last photo, the 88 leister Motors car was driven by Jim Gibbons and taken over by Tobias during the 57 season. Jim has been better known in recent years for his groundhog hunting than racing. Also was one of the best diesel mechanics in Juniata County.

Great pictures, but I can't help much on these. I was a hillbilly Hilley! Port is 1080's stomping ground.
Keep em coming, love the cars from this era. :thumbright:
