Old Blue is the only one, to my knowledge. When I freshened Paul Pitzer's restoration of Old Blue in 1989, Bob had numerous frames with body panels stacked up in the garage behind the race car shop. Bob ran a chassis 30 shows and then sold them except the ones that won a lot of races as he did not want to have to race against them. All the ones in that garage were historic - big block cars driven by Keith Kauffman, Bobby Davis Jr. and Doug Wolfgang - along with several small-block cars and Bob had most of the period-correct parts that would be needed to make them whole again in the attic of that garage. His agreement with Chevrolet that I arranged for him in return for a very nice sponsorship package required that a show car be available for the area Chevrolet dealers and I tried to convince him that a display of Old Blue and one of those big block cars would be a knockout but he didn't see the attraction and never had any of them restored.

I had Old Blue on display at Super Chevy Sunday that year and it drew so many fans at Maple Grove that we had to move it out of the Chevrolet tent so people could photograph it. It wound up being in a three-page article in Super Chevy magazine. If you read that display plaque beside it, you will appreciate that there probably has never been and certainly never will be a sprint car chassis that won so many races, especially so many big ones.

After Bob's passing, I have no idea what happened to all those cars and the parts in that garage. I'm sure someone has them but I have no idea what if anything has been done with them.

Ed

Ray Evernham has the Weikert Cook chassis that Wolfgang ran in the mid-80s. There are plans to have it restored.
