I have some, but I'll need to find them. They also ran cycles / flat track as well in that time period.

I remember the karts. Seemed like about a million of them on the track at once. I saw a pile-up with karts flipping.

I remember them also running at Hagerstown around the same time frame. Saw some pretty nasty crashes there.

We raced ours there it was so funny carts were going in all directions. scoring was a mess, to many carts confusing every lap we finished and went to the scale to be weight an then paid us for 5 place It really something to see.

Holy cow do I remember this race. I had a kart but decided to skip this race basically fearing for my life. I took my soon to be wife to her first kart race. They had that massive crash right in front of us. It looked like a war zone with karts and drivers scattered across the track. My wife turned to me and said you are selling the kart. Good bye kart.

The thing I remember is this one kart flipped way down the straightaway and the driver never came out of the kart. He got caught in it and had to ride it out. Years later the guy is on my ice hockey team and we have been good friends since. Tim was a cousin of Mitch Smith and that had to be one of the all time kart flips. It made the front cover of Area Auto Racing News and is the only time a kart made the front cover. Tim said the kart was bent like a pretzel and Mitch somehow straightened it out.

Tim, I know you get on here, go ahead and tell the story, it is a great one.
