Just wondering if the 2D Lance is driving is the same car he won his first 410 feature in I believe it was at Hagerstown?
I could be wrong on the car and where I thought he won his first 410 race. I'm sure someone must know for sure.
Thanks again for sharing the pics :thumbleft:

No. He won his 1st feature at Hagerstown driving the Harry Earnest #35E.

2nd win at Hagerstown was in the 2D with red lettering. Bobby Fletcher led most of that race, and ran into a lapped car on backstretch. Knocked off the nose wing, and Lance passed him.

Near as I can find, Beitler ran the full tour from 89 through 94.

Actually the first 4 in 1980 were quarterly, in 1981 they became every other month. I've got all but the first issue up to about 1998 or 99. Every time I dig them out and think about selling them off I start read an old story or looking through them and all the boxes go back on the shelf.

George Marshall. :dontknow:
The article was called 197 Nights in a Suburban. Car was #43. Used a portable "solar shower". He was certainly chasing the dream!

I think George finished 20th in the WoO points in 1986 or 87.
