Harrisburg Fairgrounds

Post by jebubb » Thu Oct 22, 2015 12:58 pm

Today's antique shop find, a program from the 1925 Harrisburg and Dauphin County Fair at the Harrisburg Fairgrounds. I've included the pages that mention auto racing. The track sat where the current Belco Community Credit Union building sits up to the south west corner of the I83/I283 (Eisenhower) Interchange.

Here is an aerial view of the fairgrounds from 1937 after it was closed. The track is in the lower right of center. South 40th Street runs along the west side of the track. The curved road leading south west off S 40th St is the road that now leads into the Hilton Garden, Harrisburg East.
