Wachovia Center Help

Post by Tweedlee » Tue Dec 09, 2008 9:15 am

How are the upper level seats at Wachovia Center? I am looking at purchasing Ncaa tournament tickets for the first and second round. First level tickets are about 2x as much as upper level.

I sit on the first row of the 2nd level for Flyers games Tweed, and it is a great seat. Great view and you feel like you're right on top of the action. That is, however, the only seat I have ever used in the upper level at the Wachovia Center for a sporting event. I have been seated further up in the upper level, but it was for the WiP Wing Bowl.............and I really don't remember much of the event. ;) For 76'ers games I have only been in the lower level, no help from me there brother.

Thanks. I screwed up and didn't put the application in for tickets. The tickets won't be mailed until february and to get ticket. If I purchase now, I only know it is in upper section and roughly the row. They are stating around row 35. Lower level seats are running around $900 for the 6 games....So I am looking at the upper level.

If you do get basketball tickets make sure they're upper center. I've only been to a few basketball games but have sat upper end and you're just so far from the action your probably better off watching on TV. But as Drak said....upper level first row are great..you literally have nothing getting in your way.

O..btw...I don't know how this happened but I was at the Flyers game last night and parked for free  . Anyway...the lot is between a huge warehouse and the Linc (Wac Center is on the other side of the Linc). It's a bit of a walk...ya go under I-95 to get past the Linc then cross a pretty busy road to get to the center. Note however...this lot usually costs $5. They cash collector was not preset last night :jiggy: :broccoli: :redpepper: :bananadance: :cheerleader:

Pak,

Would you get 2nd level row 1 courtside seats over lower level courtside seats say row 20? I want the best view....

Thanks!

Good view from row 20 with a bit of a different experience............but for the best vantage point............2nd tier first row is my pref.

Thanks Drak! Section 201 row 1. I paid a little extra but there was not much monetary difference between shitty seats and these.

Thanks! Got them via Fed Ex today. 201 row 1, seat 15 and 16. Would that be very close to the isle seat?

I presume you're going to the NCAA's there?? The virtual view of your seats is in the link below. I think there are 16 seats in a row but I'm not positive.

Thanks for the advice drak...we had excellent seats. section 201 at the end of the isle....the participating teams fans had most all the courtside seats in level 1. Unfortunately, we watched 1.75 good games. American had Villanova on the ropes winning by 14 with 10 minutes to go only to get ran over and UCLA/VCU was pretty good. The others were bashings.....

The part where they wouldn't sell beer was not appealing for future attendance to the ncaa tourney. It looks like back to vegas for next year. I did like Wachoiva and Chickies & Petes (spelling??) though.

Good deal Tweed. Did you go to Chickie's in the Wachovia or off of Broad and Packer??

Broadway and Packer...no beer in the wachovia via Ncaa decree.

That place was packed...We did not stay long as we had a long drive home.
