Id take those non conference games to watch vs Penn States out of conference to wanna watch any day. Also why doesnt PSU travel once in awhile to play cream puffs, next year CU travels east to play Miami of Ohio at their home. I forgot they also travel to play West Virginia in Morgantown.
2006:
AT Notre Dame

2007:
AT Temple

2008:
AT Syracuse

Oh, and will CU be travelling to Alabama in the near future? :bringiton:

Does that really count???? Or do we just not know where Temple is??? Im pretty sure there were more PSU fans at that game..
There were probably a LOT more PSU fans there. But he asked for some examples of PSU traveling to play “Cream Puffs”, and, technically, that counts. :laughing7:

No, Oregon State was the team that got put on the schedule late. Can't remember who they replaced. Anyway, you have to give PSU's AD some credit. They saw their schedule was crappy, and they got a better team put on. Tried the same thing this year, but no one in the ACC would bite.

Weren't they trying to get North Carolina (ACC) to commit to a game this coming season? I read that on a couple of other websites.
I heard that too. I also heard that they might have been in talks with Wake Forest or maybe even Florida State. No takers, though.

I could dump the big 10 anytime and go back to the days of playing Pitt, WVU, Alabama, Nebraska, etc.

The basketball schedule is just as bad.

I like Penn State, but the schedule is weak again. It doesn't pay to beat up cream puffs and then get smoked by another team like USC.

... wait a second there State Penn "haters" .... How would Joe know these college programs would all fall on "hard" times? .... schedules are made years ahead :jiggy:

Akron, E. Illinois and Temple falling on hard times? :roflmao:

Even Syracuse has been pretty lousy for a while now.

'03 or '02, can't remember. Either one, 'Cuse was coming off a 10 win season.

Probably '02 then after being 10-3 in '01. That's the only one they get a pass on. Still Syracuse hasn't lost less than 6 games in a season since '01 and PSU has had plenty of time to add someone of quality to the schedule.

Yep. They might have gotten a better team, but the athletic department HAS to have 8 home games every year. :ahhhh:

I'm surprised they even tried to get an ACC team.
