Harry Kalas

Harry died today in Washington today after passing out in the broadcast booth. Rest in peace. He was one the best if not the best announcer in baseball!

He set a standard that may never be met. A true legend.

As Whitey would say............"Hard to believe Harry." Truly a sad day, but Harry checked out right where he wanted to...........in the booth. NFL Films and the Phillies have lost a gem. R.I.P Harry. Much Respect.

I'll stop by Harry the K's on Saturday and raise a glass to you sir. :thumbright:

You could tell he truly loved what he was doing. It made him the best announcer and it made listening/watching the game more enjoyable.
RIP!

There were only 2 broadcasters I liked listening to during the games. Harry Carey and Harry Kalas.

Now they can broadcast together everyday!

RIP!

Two things that Mr. Kalas taught me to appreciate, Michael Jack Schmidt and Notre Dame Football. Good bye old friend. :(

ESPN did a nice segment on Harry this morning during sportcenter. They played a couple of his clips, it gave me the chills listening to him call Michael Jacks 500th homerun and brought back a lot of memories as a youngster watching, listening and going to see the Phils....RIP Harry
