Read an article today that theorized that the Pedro signing meant the Phils would be going hard after Halliday. Pedro on the roster makes Happ, Drabeck, etal expendable. We'll see, but I like the dudes attitude when it comes to playing ball..........I'm just afraid he's done as far as major league effectiveness.

By the way Tweed............last year was the year. :pinkelephant:

The dudes on espnradio (olney, others) think the Phillies are going to get Halliday by unloading some future prospects. The theory is that they could possibly win this year and next year with added to the rotation to an already good team.

They should handle the NL this year. but the sleding will be much rougher this year versus the AL.

Not a Pedro fan and I think he's done but the phils didn't have much to lose here. They're only giving him around a million. Doesn't hurt to ry him out. They're pretty desperate right now for some starting pitching.
