Nice to see PSU up towards the front of the rankings for once instead of having to fight from the back. :cheers2:

Proof that pre-season rankings mean squat.

Surely the only 7 - 6 team that is ranked in the top 25.
Now if we were ranking donut eaters, then I'd have Charlie and the Chocolate Factory near the top!

I couldn't believe it when I heard that ND was in the top 25........ I'd say that's the highest they'll be all year. I'm a little surprised that MSU wasn't included.

Prepared to be Shocked by the high flying offense of the Fightin Irish

Gotta replace their QB and their RB (who was almost their entire offense last year).

I'm surprised that Alabama is in the Top 5.

You're absolutely right.... Drew Stanton and Javon Ringer were the backbone of their offense. They're not even sure who is starting QB yet for this year.

Brian Hoyer was their QB last year. Drew Stanton graduated after 2006. ;)

Their QB this year will probably be either Kirk Cousins or Keith Nichol. IMO, Hoyer was kind of average but his experience will be missed for at least the beginning of MSU's season.

Yeah..Im not sold on Clauson either...however he did show some promise against Hawii...But Im all about the fast wide receivers of Golden Tate, Duval Kamara, and Michael Floyd....the potential from their young tight end Kyle Rudolph. As far a defense I think Brian Smith is a beast at linebacker....speaking of linebackers PSU's own Paul Posluszny has a brother named David who will be trying to get a place in the Notre Dame's defense as a linebacker.
