... name the Baseball Record you feel is the most unlikely to be matched or beaten?

I've got 2 harddrive that have managed to hold on for a few years....
1. Joe D 56 game hitting streak in 1956 (42 is the next closest I think)
2. .406 by Ted Williams in 1941. (No one has hit .400 since)

That was a serious line drive with a ton of spin and was on me in about 2 seconds......my bare handed attempt was almost successful. :jiggy: I did retain the ball and a bad bruize on my thigh from the glance off. :ahhhh:

Records.....The Phillies losing over 10000 games..... :laughing7:

Unusual event......Weekly chants of "O" by a Red Sox fan in the Williams Grove Back Stretch VIP during the National Anthem.... :bananadance:

Oh....Thanks again for the seats Drak....:cheers2:

The grease on yur hands from Pat's Steaks may have played a part in the error that occured in Suite #27 that day, maybe.

May I also add that 99 wouldn't even consider handing that souvenier foul ball over to one of the youngsters sitting in the box that day...........Come in Tiki!! He was holding on to it like it was Ruth's 700th homerun or something!! It was a foul ball man!! :pinkelephant: :cwm4:

My pleasure on the seats 99..........many more years like last and I'll never get a sniff of a ticket. Demand for the Suite is at an alltime high. Playoffs are around the corner!! :cheerleader:

Give this kid a break!!! :cwm4:

It was only my second ball I ever got after attending about 200 major league games.....that sucka was mine!

I have to share though that I have a ground rule double ball off the bat of Cal Ripken down in the old Memorial Stadium...unfortunately, this ball also came into my possession after a scrum with a pack of kids...I judged the ball perfectly as it was a potential home run. I played for a bounce off of the warning track and actually was standing at the right spot for the bounce. Again....the dang spin on the ball took the ball from my hand and an actual scrum erupted....I won!....1985 during one of the old Eskay Franks bull pen parties...

I'll give #3 away...I promise Drak....

Red Sox nation must be strong on the backstretch for I hear alot of people yelling "O" during the National Anthem.

To this day the kids talk about sitting in the suite and feeling like kings... quickly a tear comes to their eye though when they recall that foul ball :buttkick:
