Oh, yeah that was a bad call.

It looks like this is gonna be a bad day for me. I might need some referee help.

Not good! Bowl season is winding down and am slightly below water.

Thoughts: Miami - please show up and play defense. Lesson learned on a team with a new coach in waiting. They clearly were lacking disclipline and leadership to get them focused. Very impressed with ND and Coach Kelly. He is a great coach and they are turning it in the right direction (unfortunately)

Time to fade me boyz. Bowl season has been a disappointment.

(10-9) not good.

I am amazed at the lack of defense by this supposedly high ranked teams that should be playing on New Years day. The Big 10 is 0-5. Michigan's defense is one of the worse ever. Rich Rod will be gone this week. Alabama should they had potential to be the best team in the country. PSU/Florida are average teams. As usual, the south rules college football.

On PSU, sorry but McGloin is not the future. He was a "spark", but clearly he is not the future. I hope the coaching staff gives Paul Jones a chance. Either way, PSU is down and i doubt they will be a top notch team the next couple years. Now with the Pitt firing of Haywood, you could see Tom Bradley in Pittsburgh. That would be a huge loss for the program.

Stanford -3.5
Under 58.5 (the line is going up)

*Stanford should have success running the ball but will have trouble versus a very good Va Tech pass defense. Stanford defense is sound on all fronts. They play solid and good fundamental defense. I would expect Stanford to play some soft zones and in order to keep the receivers in front of them. This could lead to field goals.

The total is right for these team's offenses but I think the defenses will prevail. Va Tech's speed and pass defense will slow down Andrew Luck and the Stanford offense which relies heavily on the run game.

Last night - Va Tech put the safety in the box to stop the run and Luck made them pay. They gambled and lost. I am not sure I understand Bud Foster's philosophy there.

Tonight - Ohio State has a stout defense but has given up some passing yards versus some of the better passing teams they faced. Arkansas will represent their toughest assignment this year from a pass defense perspective.

Arkansas defense has been suspect versus the run and OSU is one of the best running teams in the country. Arkansas strength on defense is pass rush but with Pryor, this is somewhat negated with his ability to run.

I think this is a close game but like Ohio State based on the analysis and the intangibles; lack of OSU success in big bowl games and also think the Big 10 wins a game somewhere.

OSU -3
My gut on the total is UNDER although this scares me as Petrino could decide to play up-tempo and throw the ball all over the place.

When I saw Va Tech moving there safety into the box to stop the run, play after play, I almost choked.

I am not wild about Ohio State or anyone in the big 10. I posted it but small play for me.
