...shake his hand and tell him he is a lucky man and you are happy is still with us. And if you are a driver, please take the time to give that extra tug on your belts during the parade lap. You never know when they may save your life. The left side panel of the top wing came off entering turn three Monday night and he went for a ride, full bore into the outer wall. Boy did he hit a ton. I amazed at how far these chassis and safety systems have come. Amazed and thankful.

When i saw him sitting in the middle of the track with everyone else coming my stomach got all knotted up. Im glad that Brian is ok and can race another day. He took one he!! of a hit and i agree with you that the safety of racing has come a long way. And thank you god for being with him during these events.

WOW those pictures are incredible. I'm glad I wasn't there to see that one. I talked to Barry today and he said Brian is feeling pretty good physically. Best wishes to this team, they have a great thing going.

i THINK was i remember seeing was brian entering the corner and the left side panel sheering completely off...i THINK i thought, "ohhh ****!" my "ohhh ****!" turned out to be right and just like that, OUCH! was standing right there above the wall (you'll see jen and kevin nouse in the one pics...thats where i was...) when he got out of the car and he casually just walked away. he is very lucky...very lucky! i hope hes feeling alright after that hit, he'll be back this weekend im sure!

WOW! pics caught the whole thing EXCEPT for the wing panel peeling off...

Hats off to JEI for building a chassis that took a hit like that and as you can see the integrity of the cage area is still fully in tact and protected the driver. :thumbleft:
