There were 42 cars to time trial at the Kings Royal a couple of weeks ago. Bruce White was last at 14.905 seconds, or about 7 seconds faster than the current quick time in practice for the NASCAR Trucks at Eldora. :laughing7: :laughing7: :laughing7: :laughing7:

how are they compared to the LM speeds at Eldora. probably more fair to compare to them than sprints without the big downforce wing.
My OPINIONS are just that and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of anyone or any track I am associated with!

I tuned in to check out practice last night. It seems like the team that can get their truck to handle down low and through the middle of the turns is going to be tough to beat. I'd say the Dillon boys, Larson, and Bloomquest probably have the upper hand.

The trucks looked very slow to me. But maybe they will have the track wetter for tonight

I doubt they will have the track wet...the trucks still have their windshields, so they need it to be a dry.

I think Bloomquist might have something up his sleeve for this race. His truck seemed to be laying over on the right rear more than others in a couple of the shots I saw of it. It will be interesting to see how all this plays out, and if Nascar will consider other/more events like this in the future. :cheers2:

This is gunna be interesting, can't wait to watch it tonight... One thing though, I'm still not understanding why they left the windshields on instead of installing rock screens and using tear offs... The only way to get past that is to make a dry track, otherside these drivers could be blind by lap 3, lol...

I'm also surprised to see that Tony isn't entering the race, I know he helped RCR with testing and developing of the truck... Guess his prority is as track owner and not competitor...

i thought there were going to be a lot more entries for this event. i know the WoO sprints are running but for sure thought some of the LM travelers would try to hook up a deal. also what about Ky Busch, Clint Boyer and the others that ran LM's at Eldora. thought they'd easily come up with something.

the trucks did look very slow and the times show it. there must not be any downforce at all on the rear ends.

even with a dry track there's gonna be dust. will probably still be hard to see out the windshields. rock screens with a couple extra support posts and tear offs would have been the best bet.

regardless i know where i'll be sitting tonight to watch it on speed.

I saw a picture of Kyle Larson's truck and it looked like he had what looked like maybe a 12x6 piece of plexy about half way up the hood on the driver's side... Wonder if that is there to try and deflex the dust up over the driver's side windshield or something...

and yea, I would have thought Bowyer and Busch would have given it a shot...

I would have also thought that Josh Richards definetly would have gotten a ride for this event from some owner considering he has both truck and Eldora dirt experience...
