Re: Nascar
I think he's already done pretty good in NASCAR. He's got a truck win and a couple top 5's in the NASCAR cup drivers practice and ego boost series. I think he’ll do just fine in Sprint Cup.

Re: Nascar
I worry because there have been a lot of "kid wonders" over the past 5-10 years that have been pushed up through the ranks way too quickly and have really not produced once they make it to Cup... Wish him the best of luck, but at the same time not expecting him to do much...

Re: Nascar
I can think of 1 "kid wonder" who went quickly through the ranks and did pretty well for himself, Jeff Gordon.I'd say they had similar experience before hitting the cup series?Jeff Gordon changed the way owners and sponsors look at drivers, they are lookin for the next "wonder boy" as Dale E. called him but they don't come around all that often.Kyle Larson will be the next sprint car driver turned nascar phenom.

Re: Nascar
Pretty soon everyone in the field will make the chase, maybe he wins it all in his rookie season if he figures it out for the last 10 races
In all seriousness hes an amazing talent and has been fast in anything hes driven plus adapted quickly. I think it will be ganassi's sub par equipment that holds him back more than anything

Re: Nascar
Hoping for the best, I'd like to see him make the chase. The #42 is a decent racecar, and with Kyle's talent should do OK.

I'm hoping for the best for Kyle too, but Gordon came up in a different era, it's a different ball game now...bschriver11 wrote:I can think of 1 "kid wonder" who went quickly through the ranks and did pretty well for himself, Jeff Gordon.I'd say they had similar experience before hitting the cup series?Jeff Gordon changed the way owners and sponsors look at drivers, they are lookin for the next "wonder boy" as Dale E. called him but they don't come around all that often.Kyle Larson will be the next sprint car driver turned nascar phenom.

I'm definitely interested to see if Larson can do better than Montoya did in the #42

My opinion he'll win a race this year if not next year. He's got so much talent.

I don't know how long Kyle is under contract with Ganassi but I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he isn't the heir to the 24 when Gordon decides to retire.

Re: Nascar
I hope not. Larson doesn't need Hendrick. If he moves to a new team I would hope it's to Stewart/Haas. I think we all know who will be replaced.LM Fan wrote:I don't know how long Kyle is under contract with Ganassi but I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he isn't the heir to the 24 when Gordon decides to retire.

Re: Nascar
Really??? Best ever??? lol... I know I always come across as a Larson hater, and I'm really not cause I think the kid is an awesome racer for his age, but he got second, other then that he has a 10th, 19th, 20th, and a 38th finish, not exactly what I would call "best ever", lol... I will say his finishes care getting better and better every week, but I wouldn't give him the trophy just yet...AERO410SCJA wrote:Any more questions #bestever
