Would love to see the Champ Cars back at the Grove!

That would be awesome. Port Royal and Selinsgrove would be cool too.

Its a shame that the Champ Car division has a hard time finding enough cars to fill the field, there used to be 30-40+ cars at every event. USAC midgets are in worse shape, 11 or 12 cars at The Night Before The 500 at IRP :(

actually the champ cars are gaining cars now that they did away with the ethanol deal and have people in usac that want to make the class strong again. they blew it big time with the superspeedway car idea and the ethenol fuel mandate....almost killed the class....but the cars are still out there and it seems guys are more willing to bring them out of the garage.
the pavement midgets, however, are dying slowly. the focus has been on the dirt cars...sprint, midget, silver crown and just like they did away with pavement sprint cars, i dont think it will be long before the midgets follow.
i think it would be pretty cool if usac brought their 3 dirt classes east. the midgets could run with ARDC, the sprints carry their own show and the silver crown cars would put on a great show at some of the larger tracks....grove, bridgeport, port, selinsgrove, middletown, nes, syracuse....hell, if you are making them tow to syracuse, why not give them a few shows to run along the way?

The Champ Cars are getting slightly better fields recently but I wonder how many they'll have at Gateway? It would be nice to see all three divisions come East.
