Good guess,that`s what I`m thinking,too
Looks like Keith and Keith`s back-up car? Same number and Keith`s name on the hoods.
For scoring purposes that wouldn`t be too great

Yes that is Paxton. My memory is faint but I think it was after Paxton retired and came back for a race or two in the car

Paxton drove the car in warm ups at Silver Spring for the race that benefited the Eastern Museum. It was the summer after he retired. I'd guess that's this shot.

That is Paxton in the other Kauffman, it was 1984 and it was at Silver Springs the annual sprint race to benefit the EMMR, They asked Lynn to shake the car down for them in warm ups and then he left didn't even stay for the race

Back in the 70s at WG some of the mechanics used to get in and fire off the cars in their street clothes then bring them back into the pits to warm up the motors,IIRC....
