The one thing that especially drives me nuts about NASCAR is this insistence that any one car brand is dominant (Chevy vs Dodge vs Ford vs Mopar vs Toyota).
WTF ? When you can go into a Dodge or whatever dealership and order any part from them that was on any competing NASCAR car in this day and age, that's when I'll believe that you can call any of these cars by any manufacturer brand. There is nothing on those cars that even remotely resembles anything you can buy at a dealership so I really wish they would just stop this brand naming nonsense. I know they won't because there is so much money behind it.
It just really makes me very angry having grown up watching Gremlin Modifieds that were actually honest to God, Gremlins and Falcons and Pintos that were actual Falcons and Pintos and then to hear so much commercialism surrounding these cars that aren't even remotely similar to the cars they are named after.
And to even have a sponsor for the race out of pit road ?!?!
I have decided to rename the apex of turns one and two at the Grove the "
Al Diamond Cabaret One-N-Two sponsored by Yuengling Lager in association with Trojans with special backing from Viagra".
The Jason's have naming rights on turn three. That Kissinger fellow gets rights to turn four and Chad Warner has special naming rights to the outside of turn three (pick some good sponsors because "the hll" will be the target audience.
