358 Speedweek

Post by racefan89 » Tue Mar 04, 2008 10:20 pm

I think they should try a 358 speedweek somtime. Witch most likly they'll get at least 40+ car for each event. Try and get Bass pro shop to sponser it and pay 5000 a race. It would be a good chance to see the up coming talent at its best.

Go for it...sounds like you got it all figured out. I expect to see this happen this year since its just that easy. Its great spending someone else's money isn't it.

It would be nice, but I think $1,500 with a $2,000 final would be more realistic. I also think it could be a short Speedweek like Thurs. through Sun. If someone goes out and finds a sponsor for it I am sure it could be done next year. Hard enough to find a sponsor for one car, let alone thousands for a series.

i said last year that this year's keystone cup should be a 358 series.
My OPINIONS are just that and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of anyone or any track I am associated with!

buying and keeping up a 410 is easier said than done. Been there and done there. Thank God for the 358's and other support divisions or the 410's would be hard pressed to keep the purse. There is nothing wrong in the 358's and other support divisions to be acknowledge with a little extra money and attention now and then. :cheerleader:

One thing to consider is where are you going to draw the fans from? I'm not sure you could fill the stands for a whole week without the big names.

I'd say they are. Those 4 mentioned are quite impressive.
"You doubt they'd fill the stands with no big names"????????

If people could get the williamsgrove 410 regulars out of your heads for just a minute, there are Dozens of big name 358 drivers out there. Just take a look at Lincoln and Selinsgrove's 358 roster some time. I'm sure you have, but look again.
