Hagerstown was running what they called an open competition night for what they now call the late model sportsman! I guess they were converting the semi -late class into limited lates! I have more I will scan and post after the new board is up and running!

They used to have Run What YA Brung during the Hub City Event for the Semi/Late MOdel Sportsman....they used to have some creations...Darryl Kendall used to beat up on them with this old stock clip sprint car winged machine.....nice shots as always Mike.....I was born 10 years too late to enjoy all the good racing

I still remember those big panels on the LM's when they used to run at Lincoln. They just kept getting bigger and some guys would have them running all the way to the front. That was in the early 80's I believe when the Mcbee's were the big deal?? And the second pic looks like it could've been taken in the pits at the Grove last week. :roflmao:

I seem to remember when they ran the panels on the late models they called them flexy fliers.
