Not if the Sabre's owner buys the franchise... He can buy the Americans and re-locate the franchise... null and void his contract with portland, kind of like what happend with Albany or Syracuse last year, and re-locate to SC... As for the NHL benefitting SC... Imagine preseason games being played in the heart of PA... it has happend in Hershey numerous times... Pennsylvania isn't just a football, or baseball state, but a Hockey state as well... I could see this benefitting the commonwealth as a whole.
