My family aggrees with all of the above.

Our 3 year old grandson was thrilled to get to sit in a couple of the cars. He kept telling great- Grandpa, "I can drive this car Grandpa!"

Thanks to all involved!

Great job SNS for kid's night. Handing out T-shirts to the kid's to get the drivers to sign them was an excellent idea. :thumbleft:

Thanks to all the drivers for taking the time to sign shirts, autograph pictures, hand out prizes, candy, cupcakes, pretzels, sno-cones, putting hand prints on wings and car (#10 Super Sportsman), signing the car (#00 street stock), allowing the kids to sit in the cars, taking the time to talk to us the fans.

Thanks to the staff and volunteers for organizing the event, keeping the admission price for adults at $5, putting on fireworks (sorry Lefty family), the bike races, allowing kids in victory lane, supplying games and fun.

Thanks mother nature for the perfect weather.

The kids have more fun here than at Halloween for sure. :jiggy:

Great crowd on hand. I swear there were twice as many people on the front stretch than last year.

I'd like to see them give a 50 point bonus for participating in the FNS kids night. That's probably the only way they'd get half of the participation that the SNS teams give, VOLUNTARILY.

Great job to all of the Williams Grove staff and organizers and to all of the teams. By far its the most fun I've had at Williams Grove in a while.

Do you want to see how you get young fans interested in dirt track racing?
This is how you do it:

That is how you do it. Great job to everyone involved.

I think they should do kids night at least 3 times a year. Once in the begining of the season, then in the middle like now, and towards the end of the season. That way if some of the kids have a favorite driver, they can follow those drivers through the season and stay in touch with them. If you keep the kids involved, they will bug the parents to go to the races, and guess what, the parents are going to take them. I proposed a deal a year or so ago for the Grove to do a deal on a Friday night, something like kids night only to do it for the older kids, by having a jobs fair for summer help, and having some of the colleges there to help with getting grants or whatever for the older kids that may be or want to go to college. That fell on deaf ears as always though.

I think 2 should be the most. If you add too many it would become less special and if that happens you get a lack of volunteers.

I think with the SNS guys, you wouldn't have a lack of volunteers. They know all about keeping the kids involved. That's what made Silver Springs so special. After every race there was a mob of kids and parents crossing the track to go into the pits to see their favorite driver.

what will the BHG be offering that night? They use to have an older gentleman who gave out bags of candy for the kids.
