I think its safe to say, the kids the real deal. Kyle just swept the 4 Crown Nats. and it was his first trip to Eldora.

I'll second that.
Kyle looked like a seasoned veteran all night long.
Here's one example - he started 11th in the sprint feature, hung around 9th and 10th for a while before moving up.
He did get some help with some blown tires on cars in front of him but he did also pass Dave Darland with one to go to get the win.

He also won both heats - sprints and midgets.
He set fast time in the champ car, was 3rd fast in midgets and was 11th quick in sprint cars.

The kid looked like he'd been running Eldora for years.

The best of the best were at this race and he smoked them.

He's the real deal.

completely misjudged this kid early in the season after he wadded up a couple cars.
he is pretty amazing just on what he has accomplished in the hoffman car the couple times he has been in it.

The kid was very impressive. In our group, I picked him to win the midget feature. Some thought it was a long shot. SURPRISE . . . Then I picked him in the sprint feature, they said no way . . . SURPRISE . . . . Then the Champ cars, he was automatically mine . . . Three for three. . . best weekend in a long time. . . Second best sprint car program I have ever see at Eldora. . . number one would be Kenny Jacobs winning the Historical Big One. . . Great weekend of racing, and well worth the trip . . . glad to be there for a part of history . . . .

This kid is amazing. Anyone who says he isn't is a moron. People don't just show up at eldora for the first time and dominate like that. I hope we get to see him race here at least once before he heads to nascrap.

Knowing that my posting is probably gonna ruined this thread and get me in several arguments with people who will literally pull out all the stops to try to get me to change my opinion, I'll take the risk anyway. I don't care what the kid did at the 4 crown nationals, that's wingless racing. That's a race I will never go to and have no desire to ever attend one. Which one of those races last night where the cars racing with wings? No doubt the kid has wingless talent, I'll be impressed when he wins at Eldora with the wing on. I didn't even know he swept the 4 crown nationals until reading this post because its not a race I need to know who won. Let the venom fly, I know my opinion is in the minority!

what and where would convince you that this kid is good?
IF he happens to show up "back east" in a wing car....id be down for some sort of wager.

You better stay on the porch at Williams Grove because your knowledge of racing outside of PA seems to be very limited. Kyle Larson's backround is winged sprintcars. He's from Northern California which is a hotbed for winged cars, not non wingers. Seems you're not aware that Kyle beat the WoO in the Gold Cup at Chico this year. The Gold Cup is one of the biggest races on the WoO schedule. I've been told he'll be racing winged cars at Chico next weekend before his appearance on Windtunnel next week. The point is this kid can drive anything and win. That you don't know that doesn't question this kids ability, it just shows your lack of knowledge outside of Possyland.
