RIP Smokey. One of my first hero's. Always loved him in the Lloyd's 56 and Morrall's 880. His track record stood for a lot of years at Port. 17.56 if memory serves me.

I concur Would like to see Smoke in the Lloyds 56 one more time? :thumbright:

My first memories of Smokey was him driving the Motor Mart 5 at Port. Was one of my favorites ever since. R.I.P. Smoke.

On my way home from work I noticed a lot of activity in Smokey's driveway, cars and people, at the time I thought something may have happened. After talking to Smokey just last week we had a feeling he could be next on the list. Going to miss our conversations in the back parking lot at the Grove and in front of the tower at Lincoln. R.I.P. buddy you will be missed by many.

Shocking and sad news. RIP Some of my earliest memories are of Smokey in the 56 at Selinsgrove.

To Smokey's family: I prayed for you all today. May the Lord give you peace in this time of grieving. He has given us many special memories.

Im not old enough to remember Smokey driving sprint cars so sadly I dont have the fond memories that many do. However, Smokey always had time to talk to the me when ever we would cross paths in the pits. A very personable gentlemen indeed! Godspeed Smokey!
