If you read the press release on hoseheads it is only 35 races and that includes the Knoxville Natls. & Kings Royal. Don't have to worry about them finding a Saturday night home.

Danny Lasoski

Chiappelli Motorsports, partnering with Grubb Motorsports, will field their familiar yellow #98 Golden Flavor 410 Sprint in the Pennsylvania area this season. The 35 race schedule will include select shows in PA as well as the Kings Royal and Knoxville Nationals.

Danny Lasoski will pilot the #98 Sprint with Chris Strait as crew chief. “I’m really looking forward to racing in PA. My father was actually from PA and I still have family there. Chris and I have worked together in the past and we are looking forward to this challenge,” said Danny. Chris states that although he has been a sprint car mechanic for over 12 years, it has always been on the road. This will be different, racing in his home state on a regular basis.

Eagle Motorsports Inc, owned by Bill Mann, will be manufacturing the cars for the team. Eagle Motorsports stands ready to assist any team utilizing their Sprint Cars. Call Brad Aylesworth at Eagle Motorsports for product info.

Engines will be prepared by HP Engines of Thompsontown, PA.

The primary sponsors will be Golden Flavor Sesame Sticks and Keystate Ag Transport. Product sponsors to date include Sweet Mfg., Hoosier, Weld, Schoenfeld, and Wings Unlimited.

Tom and Fran Chiappelli will oversee the operation which will be based out of their Cairnbrook, PA shop. Marketing partnership inquiries and product placement opportunities can be made by contacting Tom @ 814-754-4712.

Although many will tell you the money is on the road, is it..I could easily see this area being a throw back to the 70's with the number of races run and the cut in cost to run them. Sprinkle in some high profile high dollar races and you have a perfect place for a team to base from and race. Ok lets see how well I predict this in the next 3 years, more teams come here to race and more teams from here hit more big races..... :thumbleft: :yessss:

You my friend may be on to something, I'll go as far as saying within the next 5 years their will be no WoO's. Hard to keep a series going when you have less than 10 teams following it. You may just see all the big dogs in Pa. real soon racing weekly.

lol, he's going to run 35 races with the team, which if you take out the 2 speedweeks, the Outlaw shows in PA, Knoxville, and Kings Royal (26 races), you have a grand total of 9 other races. It'll be a Hafertepe in the 93 type deal, not exactly a death notice for the WoO.

I dont know about that...their schedule keeps on getting bigger every year, so obviously tracks want them around, and apparently the people do also.

Remember I didn't say the WoO were going to die in 3 yrs. My prediction is some teams will pick this area to race on a semi regular basis. I also think it will be good for our local teams as they will drag some along to bigger races during the year. Our guys are not stupid it won't take them long to follow their lead to making a living racing. :thumbright:
