I read on Jayski that Dodge is courting the Pettys to come back to Dodge next year.

Wont happen. Kyle was on Speed saying Petty does not build engines or cars. They buy them and put them together. They would have to start building them if they went to Dodge, and they can't afford that.

I remember Ray Evernham leaving a pretty good job for that Dodge money once. Money talks, and I think someone will jump at it ,with as hard as sponsor money is to find. One things for sure Hendrick, Childress, and Stewart/Hass are solid Chevy and Ehrnhardt /Ganassi were already there once . what about Tommy Baldwin Racing ?

Petty would be taking a step backwards. Petty motorsports has been improving since making the switch to Ford. Even though they lost a motor Sunday, they have the best engine builder in the series w/ Yates engines.

Tommy Baldwin has that deal with Stewart to house the 10 car for Danica, I'm sure he's getting quit a deal with Stewart-Haas, Hendricks and Chevy...

Actually Petty Motorsports has 286 wins. 268 wins if you don't count Yates and GEM. Hendrick has 241 wins. Just my opinion but Doug Yates is the best in the business when it comes to engines, especially the new Ford engines.

hendrick 241 you forget the wins of Stewart Hass and JGR also a few other wins with Hendrick engines under the hood . Your entitled to your opion but I hope your not counting all the Roush wins from the late 80s , 90s and up to a couple years agobefore the merger . Yates probably only has 1/2 as many as you claim . heck ford should have more wins than chevy if your numbers were correct. Hendrick is the top motor builder and has been since the late 80s

I didn't count Roush (who has 126 wins). Stewart Haas has 13 wins. Gibbs has 94 wins with Chevy and Toyota. Hendrick does have more wins compared to Yates alone. Hendrick does make good engines but we just have different opinion on the best engine builder. I just like the fact that Doug Yates works with the engines and is always there looking when someone in ford has engine trouble.

With DODGE unveiling that 2013 Charger today :cheers2: I'd say they're pretty committed to NASCAR
How bout DODGE inhouse at EGR? :dontknow:
EGR just playing second fiddle to GM anyhow behind Hendricks calvacade :silenced:

Or maybe DODGE will just dump everything on Robby Gordon's lap? And hire a whole lot of people :cheers2: Time will tell :thumbright:

But I will say the FR-9 is a good engine and Chevy has become better since they started using Ford style Heads with the SB-2 a few years back . I wonder why you don't see those canted valve heads heads on a 410 sprint car engine ?
