I prefer the sight lines on the front stretch because it's easier to see over the haulers. However, being an Outlaws show a lot of the seats in the main grand stand that are high enough for that view are reserved I believe (someone with more experience at Outlaw shows may be able to expound further on that point). You will also want to get there early if you want to avoid sitting down low or I believe you can still buy a reserved seat. The seats just past the bridge on the backstretch aren't bad either...but the view of the front straightaway is a bit obstructed by haulers and the folks standing upon them.

I'll let someone more local answer the food question because most of the food I got when I was in the area was from the Messiah College cafeteria :tomato:

As a spectator, which I am for sanctioned shows, I prefer the infield. You can't see the whole track but you can only see all of it from that top few rows of the main grandstand that were mentioned earlier. However, the half you can see, you see REAL well and I find lawn chairs a whole lot more comfortable than a board. Plus you can move around and watch from multiple spots from the first turn around to the fourth turn. You can also venture across the bridge and check out the view from Beer Hill, but most of the good viewing spots will be already occupied. Finally, if you want to visit the pit areas after the races, you're closest to those gates.

Foodwise, T.J. Rockwell's near the track is very good.

As for an area "Must See" attraction I'd highly recommend the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing. It's an easy drive on Rt15 south of the track.

Brothers Diner (I believe thats what it is called) is where I usually eat when I am in the area. Its just off the highway on the way to the track... good food and very reasonable prices.

this being your first trip, I'd say take in all the sights, don't settle on just one view. watch one heat from front stretch, one from the infield, and so on. Definately sit in turn three for time trials...nothing cooler than watching the cars come straight at you and then dive down into the turn at full throttle! :headbanger:

forget the dinners and hook up with some of the fans at the track.
some of the best food you'll ever have is made right there.
but stay away from mouth's "lighter fluid" brats.

That's why I sit in turn 3, we love watching them come out of turn 2 and get that down force from the bridge on the wing and pop those front tires up as they hammer it down the back stretch...
