How is the camping? I know there are no hookups but how is the atmosphere? We have camped at many NASCAR races in the last twelve years at Dover, Charlotte, Bristol, Richmond and Pocono.

When do most people arrive when camping? We plan on arriving on Friday late morning.

Sorry I can't help you with the tickets, and that seems to be the norm for people lately when trying to contact them.

The atmosphere is second to none. There is a party anywhere you look, and majority of people are nice and laid back.

If you plan on arriving late Friday morning you will have a hard time finding a place to camp, but can be done. Early or Late Thursday would be best. They start letting people in to camp on that Wed. at noon and by Friday morning it is usually already packed. Hope this helps. :cheers2:

Actually camping in July is not that crowded. On friday morning you will still be ok. If you are worriied about having a spot though you can buy reserved camping spots. Just request to not get a spot in the low lying area of the reserved camping area.

It does tend to get extremely soupy when it rains, which does add to some of the excitement once people really start drinking, lol, however there are no stone paths or anything so it can make it extremely difficult and sometimes impossible to get you camper and/or truck out when you are ready to leave on Sunday... Generally some of the neighboring farmers will have to show up with tractors to get people unstuck...

Looks like I am all set. Section F, Row O, seats 6,7 & 8 (Friday) and 3,4 & 5 (Saturday).

Reserved camping site # 124 Does anyone have a map for the campground?

Camping is only $30 for the weekend!! Much cheaper then going to a NASCAR event, $150 is the norm for dry camping there and as much as $550 for hookups.

Looking forward to that weekend. Now we are thinking of arriving Thursday late afternoon.

Do any of you have scanner frequencies for that track?

I have these frequencies noted -
151.6250 Grove #1 (works at most tracks)
151.7750 Grove #2, Lincoln #2 & Selinsgrove #2
151.9550 WoO Scoring
154.5700 WoO #3
154.6000 Grove #3, WoO #2
454.0000 Drivers One Way Radio
464.5000 WoO

I did make the mention that I did not want to be in the low lying area.

How big are the sites? My motorhome is 34' nose to tail. Longer if I tow the car, although I might leave that at home.

Length is not a problem, however it gets a little tight with slide outs.

Request a diagram of parking spots for the reserved section. It certainly is not the best of illustration, but will be of some help.
You may have to send a self adressed & stamped envelope though. Pretty darned tight fisted with the green backs.

Well we might have to sell the tickets due to work schedules. I have three tickets (for both nights) in the above location. I will give you the camping pass ($30 value) if you take them off my hands.

Let me know stewartfan@mac.com

Thanks

Quit work, racing is more fun! :redpepper: :broccoli:
Seriously, check the websites for Port Royal and Lincoln or their schedules for Speedweek or Keystone Cup races. Also, the world of outlaws are in the area in the spring and the fall . The Nat'l Open at The Grove is a great week end. I believe you can camp at all the tracks.
Hopefully you can make a different show or shows. Pa has the best racing in the country, period. :bdf:

If you want to put up a thread to sell tickets go put it in the classifieds section.
