Outstanding!!
Skinner is right, anyone who hasn`t seen these cars in action should take a trip to Maple Grove. Two cars side by side with 16,000 HP total will blow your mind.
Last year the first Time I saw 2 funny cars launch the power and vibration was so sudden and extreme I almost dropped my camera!
I had been to the drags many times in the 70s,but they are WAY more powerful now.

The "sensation" from the nitro cars cannot be described! Absolutely amazing!

Always amazed how they can tear down those motors and rebuild them in such a short time.

If y'all think this is fun, try the 4-wide Nationals in Charlotte next year. 32,000 Horses driven in anger

Thanks all.
BLT I'm sure that would be something to see. I know just seeing the facility when down there for the World Finals, is pretty awesome in itself.

Last year I sat in the grandstands nearest the parking lot, top row. This was the first time I ever sat on this side of the track. Every time the nitro-fueled cars cars ran, dozens of car alarms would go off. Horns would blow and headlights would flash. I guess the ground-pounding vibration would set off the alarms. Unbelievable power! Definately one sport you must see live to appreciate.

I love drag racing. The whole ground shakes and I haven't been there in over 12 yrs. Last time I saw them live was the Keystone Nationals when Amato broke the 300mph record. In fact, I still have my Amato shirt

Great pics!!!!!
