This is to the young group in the section next to forth turn. Sure you know who you are. Cheering for a driver that flips a car is horrible. You may not like the driver, but that is someones husband, other half, friend, father , etc. Cheering when Fred Rahmer rolled his car was out of line. Your arrogance was not appreciated and there were family and friends in that section. I hope you never have a family member in the same situation that a crowd will stand up and cheer if something happens to that family member. The hatred you showed was in-excusable. Grow-up and maybe lay off the beer. Then when you stand to cheer you won't fall over or sway so much!

   Exactly right, most are husband's and father's and you could be sitting close to family and not even know it. There is a group at Lincoln that feels they have to give a certain car the finger every time it passes on the track. Cheer for your favorite let the rest go, these guys put it out there for us every week. I have seen many injured or worse in my time and it isn't a pleasant feeling matter of fact I hope you never have to see this because it can stick with you for a long time. Everytime a car crashes the right choice would be to pray he is just fine. Twisted metal can be replaced.

:thumbleft: I totally agree GOSHOW. I have been there also, never did like people cheering about a bad accident. You people cheering, I would hope and pray
that the person beside you, which is your closest friend or loved one, will never have an accident, would you cheer then? Enjoy the races, the drivers crew and families give up everything for the love of the sport. RESPECT those people. :thumbright:

when the idiots stand and cheer for a wrecked driver, you can bet they don't have any friends/family, etc. involved in racing. I cannot imagine cheering for a driver only to find out he is seriously injured or killed. They people aren't fans, they are idiots.

Maybe these "folks" in the turn four section, need to bust their *** one night in the pits to learn what it feels like to put the hard work in, and get rewarded.

Maybe then, such "keyboard warrior" manuevers will cease.....

I know you're right Bill. I'll tell you what I've heard from the stands.
I sit near The Fisher Family of the 358 #21 at Lincoln. They always cheer when Rahmer, or some other drivers crash without know if everyone is ok. I have also heard them give other people a hard time if they cheer when Scott crashes. It's total crap.

:dontknow: if theres a right or a wrong in this, but i do know it's been going on for as long as i have been going to races (1973) reckon it ain't gonna change anytime soon, some folks are just arsewoles,'specially when fueled up on alcyhol, tho i must admit, back in the day i quite enjoyed seeing Larry Jackson and or Don Comerer pull into the pits during a heat or a feature. :handoverhead:
