45-50 cars...probably neither Kahne or Stewart...their down south this and next week. I wouldnt say its not possible to see Stewart though.

I think the most impressive thing is they should have a sell out crowd...only about 3000 tickets left

Yes, GA tickets will be sold there. Reserved seats are almost gone though.

Heres the ticket link though http://dirtcar.ticketforce.com/ordertic ... %3D1%23abc

Im hoping for a high car count, but I wouldnt be surprised if its only in the high 30s. Its a week night, most teams and drivers have full time jobs and the purse is a complete joke. Port just had a race with almost $13,000 won and the Grove just paid $6000 to win for a non-sanctioned show. Why would some of the weekly racers want to buy new good year front tires and rims (I believe the good years are bigger and wont fit on a hoosier rim??) just to race one time and probably not even qualify? Half of the Saturday night tracks have guys who race once a week on a strict budget. It may not be a huge car count, but it will be a great field of cars.

It's hard to say how many cars will show up. Me and a buddy were talking the other day and we came up with about 50 cars we thought would be there. Plus about 7-8 others that may not make it because of it being a week night show. Without a doubt will be a great field tho :cheers2:

Right on, slvrstang91, these guys are always exaggerating the car counts on here. its been proven time and again that most low budget teams will not show and i dont blame them one it.

Anything over 26 works for me. I prefer 3 or 4 heats actually, I don't need 5, we are going to end up with the best making the feature and it will be a good show. How many cars in the parking lot are more of a concern to me. I don't fret over getting more than 35 cars because to me it doesn't matter. Just an opinion some like enough, some like a lot. :dontknow:

Why would they only use these new tires and rim once??? Don't the Outlaws come back to central PA a few times a year that they would be able to get use out of those rims again??? Plus, beings this is an historic event since the Outlaws haven't been to Lincoln in awhile, I wouldn't be surprised is "deals" are made with teams that do have a few sets of larger front rims (if they are even required, i'm like you I don't know if the Goodyears require a larger rim the Hoosiers) just so they can be part of this event... But then again this is JMO...

There will be no deals. Goodyear does not make deals. In fact since this is the last year of their contract I expect that the mandated front tires for WoO and Allstars & a few others, is their way of getting inventory reduced. Some day, maybe in our life time the local track promoters will listen to the teams that race their tracks every week, instead of the ones that only come here 4-6 times a year.

I don't think you realize the expense of wheels and tires for these teams, plus the fact that pit fees for these races is always increased by $5-10 per person. I'm not saying that teams shouldn't go but I am saying that no team should be unfairly criticized for not racing every race put on every track's schedule. Walk a mile in their shoes & balance their checkbooks once. It will really open your eyes.
