5 different winners in 6 races in the 358 sprints. Still 5 or 6 cars that are very capable. Only 21 sprints but a very good quality field. Dylan Yoder was the first repeat winner in the late models. Lots of capable winners in the field as well. Good night of racing in all the divisions. Nice crowd, but by no means full. :thumbright:

It was announced that two of the Bud Grimm 88's will be on display at Sunday's Keystone Cup Race.

I think the numbers of the 358's were about the same as the Grove. Definitely the counts are down at all tracks. Know some teams on the verge of being last race if something drastic happens to them. Think the money programs are hurting for the teams AND THE FANS. Hope it can be picked back up again.

Lincoln had the highest car count of the season last night I believe. Trail Way has been the only track to get a full field on a Friday night last week, and look to have just as many next week when they run their championship event.

While car counts are down at the big tracks, the smaller tracks seem to be holding steady. Might this have something to do with the cost of motors that are needed to run those race tracks? No doubt it cost way more money to run Williams Grove and Selinsgrove then it does Trail Way and Lincoln.

Hell just the tire bill alone is way cheaper when comparing the 2 Friday night tracks. Had a team show me their RR on Friday night before the race and it looked good and they said they had ran it for 3 weeks. You wont get that at the Grove.

Switched Saturday night tracks to the Port.....nothing against Selinsgrove, but love the 410s.

in 5 starts at selinsgrove, we had finishes of 1st,5th,5th,8th and 3rd...and we have only purchased 2 new tires so far this year....I would say that those are pretty good results for being mostly used tires..

PS theres no "C" in Shultz...lol

Definitely some great racing in all divisions last night at SG, a lot of side by side, back and forth throughout the field. Fast but racy surface, they were haulin it around the top. The only bad crash of the night was a flip in the roadrunners, show was over before 10:30. Car counts are down a little but the quality is still there espescially in the LM's- not a slow car in that field. Congrats to Jason; he was very impressive and fun to watch working his way to the front.

Williams Grove had 24 358's on Friday night.

Heard some interesting things about the 358's recently. One, a top of the line 358 engine now costs more than a 360. Two, a higher budget team that runs Selinsgrove (part-time this year) bought 6 new sets of heads over the off-season so they could try them all on the dyno and use the best ones. I know that's not against the rules or anything but it seems a little on the extreme to me and certainly had to cost quite a bit of money for perhaps a slight gain. That leads me to wonder if a spec head rule might be helpful in getting 358 motor costs under control. :dontknow:

They had 24 cars at the W. Grove Friday. They had a few scratches and did not list them in the lineup/run down...Nouse was one of them with mechanical issues...

Not sure on the other 2 scratches but I know they had 24...
