I might attempt to travel up north to Big Diamond Friday night (weather pending) and have never been to an Appalachian Speedweek show. Just wanted to know how they qualify for heats.....

Is it a draw or TT??

Thanks....

They draw pills for time trial order, then time trials set the heat race lineups.

Is it multiple cars time trialing at once, like the WoO??

Don't really care for time trialing, since I sit thru them enough with the sprint cars. :ahhhh:

Late Model Speedweek and the Sprint Car PA Speedweek both time 1 car at a time each getting 2-laps. Each track has the option to run 1-lap time trials at their discretion. (At least they did with the Sprint Car Keystone Cup)

I frequent Big Diamond just like I frequent Williams Grove. I get my modified fix at Diamond, due to us racing Saturday nights, I am unable to attend Grandview like I used too.

Looks about 60% chance of rain for tomorrow night. Alot of map watching, and with the traveling teams they might call it early in the day. THAT has also been done before......

...and BEFORE you even start in Kinser, Attica forcast not looking much better. :poking:
