This is an interesting part of racing history. This is a midget race at the historic Soldiers Field in Chicago, home of the Bears.

Freddy Hamm with his hard to beat No. 45 coupe at Dorney Park Speedway. If you never had a chance to see a race at the Park, you missed a treat. It was Bowman Gray on a smaller scale. You sat right against the track. The track was a narrow asphalt fifth mile with no banking. Bump and run racing lived at the Park. What a place!

As you can see by the massive bumpers on all four corners, contact was a way of life at Dorney Park. Love those 1955 through 1957 Chevies

I had a request for some Jerry Katz photos. How can one forget the old No. 00. Katz raced well into his senior years, competing in go karts at Shellhammer's. This is Katzx on the inside of a three wide at Gold Mine
